Remember.

Close your eyes and go back to the past.Remember those moments when you needed someone to understand you when others refuse to accept your points.Remember those moments when you were lost and you needed a hand to guide you to civilization.Remember those moments when you felt like dying but somehow there was a light that kept on burning inside of you.Remember those moments when you made so many mistakes and you wish you could erase it all by repenting.
Now remember those moments when you had everything.Remember those moments when the world was in your hands.Remember those moments when you had all the happiness in the world.Remember when you forgot all about Him,your Creator, your one and only God.

Allah(All praises to Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful) is always waiting for you.Come back to Him.

Ismi Izzati.

I had my first Arabic class on Friday. Our lecturer is from Sudan and I have no idea what he was on about eventhough he was speaking in english! His accent is too thick. It was quite frustrating actually but alhamdulillah,I was able to learn something. So far I only know how to say Assalammu'alaikum, ismi Izzati.Haazihi t'olibatun.Man haazihi?Oh and my roomates taught me how to say 'i love you' in arabic, which goes something like this : uuhibbuki.
Awesome,right? :)

Hello Again :)

You guys might have been wondering where had this little girl had gone to right?Well I've been very busy with many decisions and in fact I'm still busy right now *laughs*.Remember my dream of going to UIAM(or famously known as IIUM in certain places) to do psychology?Yeah well guess what...?Alhamdulillah,I got in!It was all such a rush.I didn't even get the chance to tell my friends or post it on facebook(honestly!).So here is my apology oh dearest friends.
So where do I start?UIAM is awesome.Sure,I have to make a few tweaks here and there to my personality to fit in with the university but it is all for the best. The best part about it all is I got exempted for my EPT(English Placement Test),meaning my foundation studies will only last for one year. The downside of it is,I have to do some major catching up with the 1st intake. It is so tiring but, insyaAllah I'll cope with it.

Can you hear me?

A butterfly flaps it's wings.A clock ticks by.Somewhere in the world,a person dies.

My heart aches.I'm so tired of life.I wish I could run away,so very far away from everything.I hate life.I'm a hypocrite.I smile cause I don't want people to notice my pain but inside I'm screaming.I laugh because I want to be happy again but I'm lost.I always sit and stare at nothing now.I cry at night.I hate having a stepmother.Yes,I have a stepmother.I hate her for ruining my life.I hate her for hurting my mum.I hate her for taking my dad away.I wish my parents would just divorce already.I'm sick of life.

Allah,I'm sorry.I can't do this anymore.

The Tension Is Rising.

Not many people know this but the truth is I didn't get in anywhere.6th of May just joined the list for my Top 5 Worst Days.I was so excited and nervous when I went on the website but everything started to crumble to pieces when I saw the word 'TIDAK BERJAYA' in bold, black writing.I cried that night. All my dreams just got sucked into this massive black hole.My heart ached like never before and this evil voice kept on laughing in my head.I've never felt so stupid in my life.Me in psychology?Dream on girl.Sigh.The tension is rising.I heard my parents talking about taking out their money from their account to send me to a private university cause they dont want me to go to a politeknik or anywhere bad.Sigh.

  • Good morning/night texts
  • Really long goodbyes
  • Silence that isn't akward
  • Staring for no apparent reason and smilling when caught
  • Looking horrible in front of each other
  • Understanding each other
  • Knowing what the other is thinking
  • Honesty
  • Accepting each other's flaws
  • Supporting one another
  • Blessing from family members
We've done all of it right?I hope so.

Y Is For Yahoooooooo!! XD

I PASSED MY FREAKING JPJ TEST!!!!!!

*Cough* What I mean was,Alhamdulillah I passed.

I was so nervous I felt like peeing in my pants.Literally.A lot of people didn't come so my number was moved forward and the next thing I knew,I got number 10.The whole time I was sitting down,I was silently praying to myself, clenching and unclenching my hands. This nice lady beside me asked me if I was nervous and I plastered this huge, dorky smile on my face and said "Oh a little bit but insyaAllah,I can do it".The whole time I was smilling,I could hear my other voice singging : 'Liar, liar!Pants on fire!'
Inside I was screaming like a hysterical person.I thought I was going to die of nervous breakdown but I knew of course that you cannot die from nervous breakdown (Can you?).Luckily for me,I got a nice examiner who was humming some songs when I drove. She was obviously in a good mood, thank God.I remembered how high-pitched my voice sounded when I first got into the car and she told me to go to Road 3 and I was like "Okay" in this really awful,high-pitched,elf voice.Talk about embarrassing! XD

I passed.I passed.I passed.I passed.I passed.I passed.I passed.Oh yeah! *victory dance*

P.s. Azeem bought me a cake to congratulate me.Thank you zee :)

Who Said Hijabis Can't Be Fashionable?

Ladies, just because you wear the hijab doesn't mean you can't style up ya know.Whatever the non hijabs wear,we can wear it too except we need to modify it a little bit.Look at all these pretty girls who should achieve the same attention as the non hijabs get.

Introducing Miss Yuna :)

The famous Hana Tajima :)

Don't judge a hijabi by what she covers on her head :)

A Hijabi's Story :)

I was on tumblr (yes I have tumblr. Finally! It's http://izmosramblings.tumblr.com/) and I came over this one tumblr that is basically made for Arabians things only. One of the post that she(the blogger) posted was this Hijab Challenge where they post their story as to why,how and when they first started wearing their hijab.Since I have both a blog and a tumblr,I decided that I'll write my Hijab Story on both of my blog and tumblr. So here goes...

I started wearing the hijab when I was in Form 3/Year 9 (16 years old).I spent most of my childhood in the UK and I didn't have many muslim friends back then due to the area I lived in.My parents specifically chose a proper english environment so that we would have a period in our life where we grew up completely surrounded with British families in other words Christians.Even in my primary and secondary school,I didn't really like to be friends with the muslim kids because they kept themselves with their own group. My nursery was a private nursery which involves Chinese,Indians and mixed Malay whose Islamic teachings wasn't that strong either.I was never close to my parents when I was young cause they were always too busy with work so my Islamic influences came from my grandparents. However, luck wasn't on my side and my grandparents passed away when I was in the UK.That was when I truly lost myself to the western culture.Unlike me,my little sister's belief in Islam was stronger. She always forced me to pray and read the Quran. For some unknown reason,I always obeyed her eventhough I secretly hated her for forcing me.But because of her,I regained my 'true self' and started praying and reading the Quran sincerely.
I remembered back then, the grown ups always forced me to wear the hijab but my parents said no.Why?Because my parents are lecturers. They are so used to seeing muslim girls cover their heads and body inside the university's premises but the moment they go out, everything comes off (of course, not every muslim girls are like this). My parents didn't want me to be like that. They wanted me to wear the hijab because I sincerely wanted to and will never take it off.So they didn't allow me to wear the hijab until I really found the right moment. My parent's friend also played a major part in my hijab story because she always told me stories about Islam and how beautiful it is.It enchanted me and she influenced me to wear the hijad. On my sister's 17th birthday, she didn't asked for any presents but instead asked my parent's permission to wear the hijab.A few days afterwards,I decided that its time I cover up.I already had my fun and freedom which to be honest, wasn't that thrilling at all.Besides, whenever I wear a hijab,it always makes me feel safe and I kinda feel Him smile.Weird huh?Not to me it aint. And thats when I first started wearing the hijab and never took it off :)
